Our pilot campaign in July 2009 involved both door-to-door and venue fundraising across the UK. Following its success Charity Link are now carrying out a comprehensive roll-out campaign. Unlike our other charity clients, CLIC Sargent has less brand awareness but through our activity we believe we will increase its profile signicantly as well as raising vital funds for its future development.
Our initial door-to-door campaign in 2000 aimed to recruit 250 Direct Debit donors at £5 per month, with an ambition to build direct 'sponsor/puppy' relationships. Ten years on, we continue to recruit more donors year on year across both venues and door-to-door. With one of the lowest attrition rates in the industry door-to-door is one of Guide Dogs most cost-effective recruitment channels.
Starting as a door-to-door test campaign for the National Canine Defence League, the 'Sponsor a Dog' campaign has grown beyond all expectation. Donors recruited from private sites now outweigh those from door-to-door. Charity Link is now the largest supplier to Dogs Trust, providing the greatest single source of income for their ‘Sponsor a Dog’ campaign.
